Teacher: Bianca Crawford Ages: Prep - Grade 4 Price: $250 for 7 weeks (Starting 3 August to 14 September 2026) Class Size: up to 12 students Term 3 Kids Art Program – The Big Picture A 7-week creative canvas journey In The Big Picture, young artists are invited to slow down, explore, and build a large-scale canvas artwork over a 7-week creative journey. Each week layers new ideas, skills, and techniques—allowing their painting to grow and evolve over time. Students will begin with expressive mark making and playful painting, gradually developing their work through colour mixing, texture building, drawing, and painting techniques. Along the way, they’ll experiment with layering, composition, and self-expression—learning how to turn simple marks into meaningful visual stories. This is a fun, hands-on program where children are encouraged to imagine freely, build confidence with materials, and explore their own creative voice while developing core painting skills. By the end of the term, each student will have created a finished large canvas artwork to take home and keep—a true reflection of their creativity, imagination, and growth. Each canvas will be different as it is a process and reflection of each individual and where they are at, what they imagine and create. What students will explore: Colour mixing and painting techniques Texture building and layered composition Finger painting, mark making, and drawing skills Self-expression through colour, space, and form Developing identifiable shapes, objects, and visual storytelling Program details: Dates: 3 August – 14 September 2026 Time: Mondays, 3:30 – 4:30pm Duration: 7-week course Suitable for: Kids (mixed abilities welcome) What’s Included: All art materials Weekly guided art sessions A supportive, creative studio environment What to Bring: Drink bottle Clothes that can get messy (aprons provided) We will be using paint!!

This is a compulsory form for all parents/ caregivers to complete and acknowledge.. 1. Participation & Safety Acknowledgement I understand that The Maker House runs hands-on creative workshops that may involve the use of art materials, craft tools, paint, glue, scissors, and other supervised equipment. I confirm that: I have notified staff of any allergies, medical conditions, additional needs, or behavioural concerns that may affect my child’s participation. My child is physically and emotionally able to take part in the workshop activities. I understand that while all care is taken to ensure a safe environment, The Maker House, its staff and facilitators are not liable for injuries resulting from ordinary workshop activities, accidents, or failure to follow instructions. 2. Media Consent (Photo & Video) I give permission for The Maker House to take photos and short videos of my child ONLY during workshops for: Social media posts Website galleries Marketing materials Print or digital promotional content I understand these images may be used without identifying students names and are intended to promote the positive, creative environment of The Maker House. I agree that I have nominated my acceptance or not in the booking form. 3. Drop-Off, Pick-Up & Conduct I understand that parents/guardians must drop off and collect children on time. If a child is under 5 years old, a carer/ parent will remain close by/stay with the child during the class. If someone else is collecting my child, I will notify staff in advance. I acknowledge that The Maker House maintains a positive and inclusive environment, and children are expected to follow instructions and behave respectfully. I have added in an alternative pick-up person (if required), including their name, contact details and drivers license number. Agreement By ticking the box, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this wavier and consent form.
